Energy Audit
With emphasis being increasingly made on the effects of climate change and the need to save energy, our homes will soon be rated on their energy efficiency levels, very much in the way that our domestic electrical appliances are. The higher the rating the more efficient is the property and the lower fuel running costs.
This could affect both the price your home commands in the market place and the decision of a prospective purchaser as to buy or not.
KNW survey staff will collect all the information needed to allow an energy rating to be calculated, an additional service we can offer at the time of your survey. KNW’s fully-trained staff wiil be pleased to provide more information.
HECA Reporting & Energy Stock Profiling, Energy Advice.
For Social Housing Providers, KNW are able tocompile an extensive Energy Audit Report (EAR), equivalent to National Home Energy Rating Level 1 of each property which fully meets the requirements of stock profiling and HECA (Home Energy Conservation Act) reporting.
The EAR Database can be adapted to meet the specific needs of a partner organization and is updated on a continuous basis as any property within the target area is improved and periodical updates are therefore readily available. To the social housing provider, this ensures that budgets are maximized and best value is achieved by means of:
- Access to complementary funding which will extend available budgets
- Increased measures to individual properties for no increase in budget
- Increased number of properties improved
- Compliance with HECA commitments, Best Value and Decent Homes responsibilities
- Maintenance of stock profiling and HECA reporting information.
KNW’s own bespoke computer management system is capable of interacting with commercial stock profiling software and SAP/NHER programmes. This means that services can range from supplying individual ratings for properties to providing a fully managed project facility.
