How Does It Work?

Loft insulation works by acting as a barrier between your house and the roof. It prevents heat from escaping, and keeps your home at a warmer more even temperature. KNW will ensure that the insulation will meet current standards and that pipework and tanks in the loft will be insulated to prevent frost damage and freezing. If appropriate, the loft access hatch will be insulated to the same insulation level and be draught-proofed.

Having your loft insulated is quick, easy and mess free. The result is a warmer, more comfortable home with less need to switch your heating on.

How Much Will It Cost?

If you receive one of the qualifying benefits and depending upon the existing loft insulation thickness you may be able to have loft insulation installed at no cost to you.

Even without a qualifying benefit there are substantial subsidies available which will help to pay towards the installation costs. In some areas this means that the client contribution can be as low as £99. Ask for details of schemes which are operating in your area.
